We hustle to find some of the best cacao in the world, but first and foremost we want to partner up with awesome farmers who fight to preserve the astonishing biodiversity of the tropics.

From bean to bar. Always.

We hand-sort every single cacao beans. We roast it in tiny batches. We grind it for days in our stone ground melangeur. It is somewhat old school, but great chocolate comes from hard labour!

Tumaco is not the safest place on earth. Nevertheless, active guerrilla groups did not stop us from jumping on a rickety bus toward Colombia’s wild Pacific coast! The unique heirloom cacao beans supplied by wonderful, smiling farmers were well worth the trip.

On a trip to the Dominican Republic, you will (easily) find the region of Punta Cana, where nightlife moves to the rhythm of merengue. But (off the beaten path) you may discover the Zorzal reserve, where protected birds live and sing in peace amongst cacao trees. And that cacao is amazing!!!
